Beyond happy and full of gratitude – birds of unknown are the winners of the international competition Jazz Juniors 2025, which happened in Krakow, Poland.
As written by Music Slovenia: “The 49th edition of the Jazz Juniors international competition concluded with an exciting announcement by the international jury — Nils Petter Molvær, Solveig Wang, and Soheil Shayesteh. The Grand Prix Jazz Juniors 2025 and 10,000 PLN went to birds of unknown, marking a major achievement for the Slovenian trio. Alongside the Grand Prix, birds of unknown also received two festival awards — from Fara Music Festival and Petrovac Jazz Fest — which will take them to festival stages next summer, as well as to the studio of Emme Record Label, where they will record their next album.”
